Held at the Pembrey circuit.

Decided at the last minute to head over the bridge for a day following the WRC. A strong and very cold wind brought in several heavy showers but there was also some sunshine (just as the last cars finished their run).

Poor light, bad choice of angles and far too much hanging about between stage runs......at least the company was good.

The VSCC sprint held on the historic Goodwood circuit. Poor light for most of the day didn't help with the cars but the bonus was the heavy air traffic in and out of the circuit airfield.

The final Castle Combe motor racing meeting of the year. The light was flat and dull but at least the rain stayed away this year.
Support races were Classic FF1600 and FF2000, Sports 2000 Endurance, CC Special GTs and a dramatic CC Saloon race.

Shots taken during the two days of the Britcar meeting. First are the support races, SRCC sports 2000, Dutch Supercup, Porsche Open and Britsports/S1 and then a few from the pitlane walkabout followed by action during the Silverstone Britcar 24 hour race.

Day two of the Gold Cup meeting and after a wander through the paddock it's time for the racing.

Day one of the Gold Cup meeting. The morning was free practice while the afternoon was taken up with qualifying for the Sunday races.

The first running of this event. Pictures were taken on SS1, 4 and 7 in and around the Walters Arena.

An overcast and chilly start to the day that ended in lovely warm sunshine. Several great races from the HSCC plus three outstanding races in the local Combe championships.

Day three and all the shots were from the Luffield terrace area.

Day two of the Classic meeting and I walked miles and miles. Shots were taken from Priory, Luffield, Abbey, Club, Vale and Stowe. Heat haze was a big problem as was a sometimes harsh sun.

Most of the day was spent in the pit garages, paddocks and wandering the infield.
In the late afternoon I did shoot some track action from Luffield. This included Group C/GTP, Woodcote Trophy and World sportscar Masters practice.

Day two and a wet track for qualifying. Apart from a short shower around 11 the day was overcast but dry until 5, when the forecast rain did start.
FPalmer Audi, DMN saloons, Lotus Elise Trophy, Caterhams, HSCC Classic F3, CCRC FF1600, CCRC Special GTs and CCRC saloons all featured in a disrupted days racing.

After weeks of rain I couldn't believe how much dust there was. Good to see sunshine and blue skies though, it's been a while.

The hill shots taken from in front of the Park grandstand, opposite the House. The weather ranged from rain to heavy rain to biblical downpours and together with dark skies wasn't very photographer friendly conditions.

Some of the cars and sights from the first day of the Festival of Speed, held in the grounds of Goodwood house. Heavy overnight rain had soaked everything but apart from a short shower the day was dry and sometimes warm.

National SS1 and SS7, Historic SS7 and Clubman SS1, all run through the very dusty Crychan forest.

Pictures from the mornings qually. The rain did ease off mid morning so I could warm up a bit wandering around the circuit.....and yes the light was that poor.
On the plus side I managed to capture a couple of half decent shots of the crow (no doubt frozen to the rail ;) ).

Slightly warmer, still the odd heavy downpour and a tad more light. Some great and exciting races did raise the spirits.

Rain being blown in by a strong wind greeted the drivers for qualifying.

Although the track was still wet for the first race, FF1600 qualification, the 11 races after lunch were run in dry and sunny conditions.
Several 750MC series joined the Stoneguard Mono championships and of course Castle Combe's own Championships, which included the running of the 100th Saloon race.

Some nice winter sunshine greeted my first visit to Brooklands. The "angled" shots are due to the very steep banking of what remains of the circuit and/or the lack of skill of this photographer to shoot straight, even at a static target.
