Classes running were theStars of the 70s with Touring 70s, Oldies but Goldies, Top Hat and Cloth Cap incl XK Challenge.

After a quick visit to the paddock, mainly to see how bad the McLaren M1 was damaged after going off on oil and hitting the pitwall, it was back over to Luffield for the racing. Poor light and a stiff breeze meant less photography and more watching....never a bad thing.

After an early morning visit to the infield in search of breakfast and pretty tin it was over to Luffield for an excellent days racing. The WSM race was run to dusk and images were shot from Priory.

Images shot in the garages, paddocks, pits, infield displays and concert arena. Qualifying action from the Group C and World Masters series.

Qualifying at a very wet Castle Combe. Featuring 70s Touring cars, Pre-60s GT and touring cars, Pre-66 GTs with Jaguar XK, Top Hat pre-66 Touring cars plus the CCRC championships, Saloons, Special GTs and Formula Ford.

A harsh sun early on gave way to the most glorious light later in the day. Featuring 70s Touring cars, Pre-60s GT and touring cars, Pre-66 GTs with Jaguar XK, Top Hat pre-66 Touring cars plus the CCRC championships, Saloons, Special GTs and Formula Ford.

The final day of the Silverstone Classic meeting. Races include HSCC Road sports cars, BRDC Sports racing cars, Porsche road sports, Top Hat 1960-66 Touring cars, HGPCA Grand Prix cars 1925-65, Formula 1 cars 1966-85 and Aston Martin sports cars.

Day 2 of the Classic meeting featuring races for FIA Historic Formula 1, Formula Junior, HGPCA Grand Prix cars, Group C cars, Porsche road sports, Sports racing cars 1948-55, Formula 1 cars 1966-85, GT and Sports Endurance cars, Road Sports cars 1947-69, Grand Prix cars 1966-78, Pre-war Sports cars and World Masters Sports cars 1963-73. Also action from th Slowly Sideways rally stage.

Shots taken in the pit garages, paddocks, car club displays, rally paddock, pit lane and rally stage.

Action from the 40th Anniversary meeting headlined by the HSCC historic F2s. Also racing were Top Hat Masters, BARC clubmans, Formula Vee, Classic FF2000 and FF1600s, Formula Junior, Sports Racing Masters and Healey Driver Int.
A mostly overcast and cold day but it stayed dry and the sun made an appearance in the late afternoon.

Day three and all the shots were from the Luffield terrace area.

Day two of the Classic meeting and I walked miles and miles. Shots were taken from Priory, Luffield, Abbey, Club, Vale and Stowe. Heat haze was a big problem as was a sometimes harsh sun.

Most of the day was spent in the pit garages, paddocks and wandering the infield.
In the late afternoon I did shoot some track action from Luffield. This included Group C/GTP, Woodcote Trophy and World sportscar Masters practice.

Some lovely tin and nice weather as well.

The final Top Hat meeting of the year and they were blessed with dry and sometimes sunny conditions. Some lovely tin out to play.

The Top Hat boys and girls were at Combe for their annual visit. A fantastic group of cars entered in 4 races.
Groovy Baby Saloons, Oldies but Goldies Touring and GT cars, Cloth Cap pre '66 sportscars and the Top Hat trophy for pre '66 touring cars.
There was also 2 rounds of the Castle Combe FF1600 championship and single rounds of the CC Saloon car and Special GT championships.
