HSCC finals day. All the main HSCC championships were running and you could tell it was the last races of the season as some of the racing was very very close. Good luck repairing the cars over the winter.

The final Top Hat meeting of the year and they were blessed with dry and sometimes sunny conditions. Some lovely tin out to play.

Shock, horror....the Castle Combe FF carnival in bright and warm sunshine.

A misty and murky start to the day but the sunshine did appear later in the morning.

Cars on track were racing in the VSCC Pre-war Relay race, Thoroughbred Grand Prix, Sports racing Masters, BRDC Sportscars, Pre '66 GP cars (HGPCA) and Pre '61 GP cars.

A lovely sunny day at Silverstone for a F1 test.
McLaren, Renault, Toyota, Williams, Super Aguri and Spyker turned up.

The Derek Bell Trophy, HGPCA pre-1966 F1 cars, Group C/GTP, , Grand Prix Masters, Orwell Supersports cars, HGPCA pre-1961 F1 cars, BRDC historic sportscars and HSCC/HRSR historic racing saloons.

The second day of the meeting, which featured the following :

The Derek Bell Trophy, HGPCA pre-1966 F1 cars, Group C/GTP, pre-1956 Sports car, Grand Prix Masters, Orwell Supersports cars, Aston Martins, HGPCA pre-1960 F1 cars, World sports car Masters and Pre-war sports car.

Friday was mainly spent wandering the pits, paddocks and infield.
Later in the day there were two races for Formula Juniors and GT & Sports cars.

A first visit to Prescott, which included a monster thunderstorm.
Cars from the Bugatti Owners club, Ginetta owners club, Austin Seven speed Championship, MG car club, Porsche club of GB, Ferrari owners club, Morgan sports car club, TVR challenge and the Vintage sports car club.

Practice day at the FoS. Some cars did 3 or 4 runs while others stayed in the paddock as the track was damp and slippery.

The Aston Martin Owners Club Horsfall meeting held at a very hot Silverstone, on the National circuit.

St John Horsfall Trophy, Aston Martin classic, Austin Healey Club, Aston Martin Historic, Intermarque, Mid-engined Sports car, 50s Sports car teams and half hour endurance races.

The Dunlop Great & British meeting featuring Ginetta Sportscars, Mini Challenge, Radical Bi-Duro and Enduro, Track & Race Saloons, and the Castle Combe series, Special GTs and Saloons.

A round of the ASWMC championship on another baking hot day at Gurston Down.

Spent the long weekend at Silverstone for the annual GP meeting. It was very hot all three days with the sun blazing down non stop.
I spent the Friday shooting the cars with the long stuff before returning for the weekend with a walk about, it was far too hot to be lugging about heavy camera gear in amongst those crowds.

GP2 and F1 practice 1 were shot at Luffield, F1 practice 2 from Farm and we returned to Luffield for the Historic qually.

Beautiful weather for some great cars.
F3 1000cc historique, Sports racing Masters, Group C/GTP, Derek Bell Trophy, European F2 and HRS/70s Challenge races.

Mixed weather at Combe, sunshine and showers, normal April weather shame it was the end of May :(.
Races were Stock Hatch, Monoposto, Combe's own Special GTs, Saloons and FF1600s plus to open races for saloons and single seaters.

Mixed weather for the first visit of the 750 motor club in 8 years.
Bike-Sports, Formula Vee, Formula 4, Roadsport & &s, Hot Hatch, RGB, Kit Car, Locost and 750 Formula championships.

May Day bank holiday racing at Castle Combe.
Porsche Club and Open, Mini Se7ens, Mini Miglia, Tuscan Challenge and Combes own series, Special GTs, Saloon and FF1600 Championships.

The only UK meeting of euroBOSS this year :( run on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit.

Support races included T-Cars, Radicals, various Mini series and Ginettas.

The major tyre test before this seasons British GP.
McLaren, Renault, Honda, BMW, Williams, Red Bull and Toro Rosso were there along with 15 drivers.

Warm sunshine greeted the runners in the Bert Hadley Memorial and PPC/BARC Speed Championships.

The Top Hat boys and girls were at Combe for their annual visit. A fantastic group of cars entered in 4 races.
Groovy Baby Saloons, Oldies but Goldies Touring and GT cars, Cloth Cap pre '66 sportscars and the Top Hat trophy for pre '66 touring cars.
There was also 2 rounds of the Castle Combe FF1600 championship and single rounds of the CC Saloon car and Special GT championships.
A great days racing

BRSCC clubmans race day on the National circuit. Dull and even murky light but at least it was a tad warmer, well for Silverstone at least.
Alfa Romeo E to G, Alfa Romeo A to D, Formula Jedi, Club F3, Super Silhouettes championships and the TVR challenge.

The early season meeting of the VSCC on the Silverstone National circuit. Sunny spells with a gale force wind greeted the drivers and spectators alike. Various Scratch, Handicap and Trophy races for the excellent turnout of cars.

The MG Car Club spring meeting run on the Silverstone National circuit, featuring the JEC powered by Jaguar, MGCC Cockshoot Cup, MG Metro Cup, JEC Saloon, MG Trophy, MGCC, TR Register/TSCC and Classic Spares XJS Championships.

A sunny start to the day at Mallory. After a excellent breakfast it was time to enjoy the sunshine and shoot some of the qualifying. The weather turned later on in the day and ended with rain and poor light.
On show were the Ford Saloon car, Catherhan Roadsport, BRSCC club Formula Ford, Silhouettes and Ford Fiesta championships.

The first ever meeting organised by the Castle Combe Racing Club.
Formula Vee, Caterhams, Production BMWs, Clasic saloons and of course the three Combe series, FF1600s, Special GTs and Saloon championships.

A round of the WAMC Tarmacadam championship held at the Pembrey circuit.

A freezing cold, windy yet sunny start to the day.
Midland F1 were the only team on track up until I left, frozen, around 4PM....seems the Super Aguri team did shake down their two cars some time later.....thanks :(
Silverstone looked even bleaker with both Luffield A & B grandstands raised to the ground.
